The World Bank Internship Program (BIP) provides a complete and fully financed 4-week internship opportunity at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. The internship is available to individuals from all regions of the globe, promoting diversity and inclusivity.

Advantages of the World Bank Internship Program:

The WB compensates all interns with an hourly wage and, if necessary, offers a travel stipend of up to USD 3,000 at the manager’s discretion. Travel expenses are limited to transportation costs, specifically airline, for travel to or from the duty station city. Interns are accountable for arranging their own accommodations. The majority of Intern opportunities are located in Washington, DC, with a small number available in the WB country offices, in response to business need.

Requirements for eligibility:

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria in order to be considered for the World Bank Internship:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree
• Must be actively registered in a full-time graduate program, either seeking a Master’s Degree or Ph.D., with the intention of resuming full-time studies.
• There is no restriction based on age.
• Mastery of the English language is necessary; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
