We at Inspire Her Ghana believe that every woman and girl should be able to live a healthy, dignified, and empowered life without menstrual health issues or social stigma. We work to make society more inclusive and equitable for women and girls via creative programs, strategic collaborations, and community participation.

Furthermore, we distribute menstrual hygiene goods and services, educate and raise awareness, and advocate. We want a better future for Ghanaian women and girls by tackling menstrual health inequalities and encouraging open discourse and collaboration.
Our team at Inspire Her Ghana needs an enthusiastic and experienced Marketing and Communication Consultant.

Job Summary:

The Marketing and Communication Consultant will establish a complete marketing strategy for the firm, its products, and services. The incumbent will report to the Executive Director and oversee strategy execution, monitor effectiveness through metrics, and promote brand visibility. The role also involves identifying and nurturing potential corporate and business partnerships to advance the organization’s mission and goals.

Key Duties:

  • Work with colleagues to create and implement marketing plans.
  • Create and manage the Inspire Her initiative’s communications plan, focusing on menstrual behaviour change.
  • Develops and implements brand visibility strategies across platforms and channels.
  • Actively explore and analyse corporate and business partnerships that support the organization’s goals.
  • Create and execute targeted marketing campaigns to promote the company’s reusable sanitary pads and associated goods.
  • Develop positive media contacts to ensure extensive coverage of the organization’s operations, including feature pieces and promotions.
  • Create and execute engaging multichannel marketing and communications initiatives using email, online, social media, paid advertising, and event exhibitions to optimize reach and effect.
  • Use appealing material like monthly newsletters, specialized emails, and social media postings to engage stakeholders.
  • Keep the organization’s website updated with current, compelling information that fits its brand.
  • Manage the company’s social media channels and tools to build community participation and brand awareness.
  • Write accurate, relevant, and brand-aligned articles, reports, and marketing materials.
  • Build to Inspire Her Community membership through engagement, retention, and recruiting.
  • Use critical analytics to assess the organization’s communications efforts and demonstrate impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor product adoption and consumer feedback to improve continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Present at external events and exhibitions to promote membership and sector participation.
  • Any other duties

Required Skills & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or similar discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in marketing or communications are helpful.
  • Three years of relevant post-graduation marketing and communications experience, particularly in nonprofits or related industries.
  • Successfully built and maintained relationships with partners, donors, and community members.
  • Proven ability to create and execute complete marketing strategies that boost brand awareness, engagement, and growth.
  • Experience marketing to varied audiences, particularly youth, with strong product and service marketing principles.
  • Experience with digital and social media marketing and communication channels, tools, and platforms.
  • Experience designing and implementing brand rules and standards to increase brand awareness and familiarity.
  • Strong analytical skills to use marketing research and analysis to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, able to write interesting material for various audiences.
  • Infographic experience required. Graphic design expertise helps.
  • Experience writing and delivering newsletters, articles, reports, and marketing materials.
  • Experience with international NGOs, multilateral/bilateral agencies, government agencies, grassroot groups, and communities; strong dedication to women’s and girls’ rights, empowerment, menstrual health, sexual and reproductive health, and related concerns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset allow effective engagement with stakeholders, from government officials to community members.
  • Collaborative team player with self-motivation and capacity to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  • Innovative thinker with initiative to discover and pursue organizational growth possibilities.
