The GIDEC Endoscopy Center is looking for a Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA).

• Position: Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA)
• Reporting to: Medical Director

Job Description:

• The job holder will assist in the delivery of pharmacy services through efficient communication.
• Under the guidance of a pharmacist, coordinate daily activities and deliver medications.
• You will be in charge of providing medications to pharmacy customers under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Assist with medication dispensing from clinically approved prescriptions in accordance with standard operating standards.
• Assist in the delivery of pharmacy services by effectively coordinating day-to-day activities.
• Under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist/Medical Practitioner, assist in the provision of medicines and advice to patients.
• Assist in the management of pharmaceutical product security in accordance with normal operating standards.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• An accredited institution’s MCA certification.
• Competencies: The job holder must have good communication skills, be able to understand and follow instructions, be able to pay attention to detail, have physical dexterity, and be computer literate.

Working Knowledge

• Two (2) years of similar work experience is required.
