Job Title: Audit Officer
Job Summary
An important player in the printing and packaging industry is looking for a qualified person to help with the company’s auditing work. The person who gets the job will help with auditing to make sure that internal controls are working as they should and that company policies and procedures are being followed.
Key Accountabilities
- Help make and carry out the risk-based annual internal audit plan.
- Help put in place effective internal control systems.
- Make sure purchases are made in accordance with the procurement Act 914. company policy and procedures.
- Review, record, and report any problems with the revenue, disbursement, and invoking process.
- Help with the inventory management review.
- Help with the production process review.
- Help with the information system audit.
- Help with reviewing the current system and making suggestions for improvements.
- Check on how the audit recommendations are being carried out.
- Write and present audit reports and keep track of the process.
Skills / Competencies
- Strong risk-based auditing skills;
- Must have good analytical skills;
- Must be a team player with high commitment and honesty;
- Must have a good eye for details and good communication skills;
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and rules;
- Must be able to use a computer;
- Knowledge of the tally accounting system is a plus.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- A good first degree in accounting, finance, or an equivalent ICA/ACCA level 2, plus three years of relevant work experience after the degree. OR
- HND in Accounting from a recognized college or university and Level 2 ICA/ACCA with at least 4 years of work experience.
