ROLE: Associate Auditor
It entails assisting the audit team in conducting financial audits and assuring compliance with accounting standards and laws.
Responsibilities:
- The audit team is responsible for planning and carrying out financial audits by doing preparatory research, acquiring necessary documentation, and generating work papers.
- Keep audit files and paperwork structured and correct, including financial statements, supporting proof, and communication.
- Analyze financial data and transactions to spot trends, abnormalities, and areas of risk or noncompliance.
- Aid in evaluating the efficacy of internal controls and finding any flaws or inadequacies.
- Perform audit procedures and tests as assigned, such as validating account balances, reconciling financial statements, and testing policy and procedure compliance.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, science, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Pursuing or having a professional certification, such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
- A Public Accountant can be useful in auditing principles and methods, as well as International Standards on Auditing (ISAS).
- A basic grasp of accounting principles, financial data analysis, and financial data evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to detect disparities, abnormalities, and potential areas of concern. To connect with team members, clients, and stakeholders, as well as to document audit findings and suggestions, effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Excellent organizing abilities are required to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting, assisting colleagues, and contributing to the overall success of the audit engagement.
- A minimum of one (1) year of practical work experience
