ROLE: IT Risk Consultant (Senior)

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Senior to join our IT risk team. You’ll collaborate with established industry professionals to learn about and implement best practices for better managing IT risk and cybersecurity people, processes, and technological capabilities. You’ll learn about the design and implementation of information technology risk programs and audits in a range of industries, as well as how to create measurable, long-term plans to stay up with the ever-changing technological landscape.

This role is part of our advisory team, which helps our clients improve the efficacy of their operations activities by aiding them in shifting their focus away from transaction-level control, processing, and reporting and toward more value-driven decision support and analytics.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior, you will make technical contributions to IT risk and cybersecurity customer engagements, as well as internal projects. A key aspect of your position will be to actively create internal and external partnerships. You will also discover prospective business opportunities for EY within current engagements and elevate them as needed. Similarly, you will anticipate and detect risks in engagements and discuss any issues with senior team members. You will attest that the work is of a high caliber and that the next-level reviewer has given it a rating under EY’s commitment to quality. This position demands a willingness and aptitude to travel 50–70% of the time.

Experience and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, information security, or IT engineering).
• A master’s degree in a relevant subject of study would be advantageous.
• CISA certification is required.
• A minimum of four years’ experience in IT audit.
• Experience performing technical audits on complex technology environments such as infrastructure (network, cloud, and virtual systems), databases (oracle, MS SQL, DB2), apps, operating systems (Windows, Linux, AIX), cyber and information security, disaster recovery, and business resilience.
• Experience with information and cyber security risk assessments.
• Experience with IT audits and security tools.
• Experience auditing SAP applications is preferred.
• Knowledge of IT and security frameworks, standards, and laws such as COBIT 2019, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST, PCI DSS, Ghana’s Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Directive, etc.
• Conversant with the development and review of IT and information security policies and procedures.
• Effective writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Team player with leadership qualities and ambitions.
• Certification in one or more of the following is preferable. CRISC/CISM/CISSP/ISO 27001 LA/ISO 22301 LA.
• Certification in one or more of the following would be an added benefit. ISO 27032, PCI
• DSS QSA, CompTIA Security+/CEH, and CompTIA PenTest+.
