Job Title: Auditor

CDC & Associates, a member firm of The CDC Group that provides audit, assurance, business intelligence and performance analytics services is seeking a driven and ambitious professional to join its audit and assurance team.

The incumbent will play a key role in driving growth by developing and enhancing new and existing client relationships, supervising, and leading assurance engagements.

Responsibilities

1. Firstly, Manage assurance engagements by defining the audit strategy in consultation with the Managing Partner and execute it in compliance with CDC & Associates’ quality assurance framework.
2. Secondly, Execute audit procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements.
3. Thirdly, Manage projects and engagements profitably by leading the team to perform efficiently.
4. Moreover, Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions.
5. Additionally, Coach and develop other team members by sharing knowledge and helping team members attain experiences that cultivate technical competencies.
6. Then, Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/on-the-job training.
7. Also, Maintain cooperative relationships with other assurance teams.
8. Furthermore, Develop and maintain long-term productive client relationships and networks.
9. Afterwards, Work effectively as a team member, share responsibility, provide support, maintain communication and update partners on progress.
10. Finally, Contribute ideas/opinions to the assurance teams and listen/respond to other members’ views.

Skills and Attributes

1. Demonstrated professionalism and competence in the audit client’s environment.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Good project management skills.
4. Very good business/report writing skills.
5. Integrity within a professional environment.
6. Proficiency MS Office Suite.
7. Proficiency in financial modelling.
8. Keen attention to detail.
9. Ability to use at least one accounting software.
10. Ability to work effectively in teams.

Qualifications

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Holder of Chartered Accountant (CA) certification desired.
3. At least 5 years of audit practice or related work experience.
4. Master’s degree in finance and accounting is an added advantage.
