Drill and Blast Engineer at Wileb Mining Supplies Limited
Wileb Mining Supplies Limited is seeking to recruit a DRILL AND BLAST ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Provide drill and blast engineering services, such as blast hole pattern design and ‘tie-in’/charge design.
- Prepare the blast master for all mining areas 3 months in advance with the help of planning staff.
- Work with the Short-Term Planning Engineer and Production Superintendent to set up a good plan for drilling and blasting so that other mining operations aren’t interrupted as much as possible
- Talk to the Drill and Blast Superintendent to make sure that drilling and blasting are done in a way that saves money.
- Work with the drill and blast superintendent to come up with and use methods that make the drill and blast process run as smoothly as possible.
- Fix technical problems with drill and blast.
- Prepare, track, and keep up-to-date output data related to drilling and blasting. Review the data from the Q/As, the digging sheets, and the blast movies to find out where you can improve.
- Communicate with the consultant and any other providers who are experts as needed.
- Check drill and blast sites on a regular basis.
- Consult with the Geotechnical Engineer and work closely with them to improve the safety of the pit wall.
Qualification and Experience Required
- Bsc. Mining Engineering with at least two years of working experience
- AGE: between 30 – 40 years MUST HAVE:
- Blasting Certificate Valid Driver’s License
