POSITION: Partnership Facilitator
This intermediate professional serves as Compassion’s key contact to the local church, ensuring that local church partners have the ownership, capacity, and resources to minister to children and teenagers in their particular setting. As the primary contact, this facilitator is responsible for cultivating relationships with church partners based on mutual respect, trust, and service, all of which contribute to the growth of church ministry.
He or she is responsible for supporting partner relationships through the Partner Management core process, increasing church outcomes, and applying a developmental attitude to all parts of the partnership. At this career level, the incumbent typically works independently on moderately complicated projects or goals in collaboration with other professionals. He or she may coach other facilitators.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a personal contact with Jesus Christ. Is a continuous witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a gracious, Christ-like attitude when interacting with individuals both inside and outside of Compassion, and faithfully prays for Compassion’s ministry.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to serving, respecting, and empowering the church in accordance with the principles expressed in Compassion’s ministry philosophy.
- Church Maturation – Improves church ownership and capacity through a developmental attitude and the Partnership Management core process.
- Facilitates collaboration with church partners to reflect on youth and church outcomes and plan for future growth in capacity and maturity.
- Program Cycle – Assists the church partner in all phases of the Program Cycle.
- Planning – Helps church partners plan their Child and Youth (CY) program.
- Assists the church partner in developing an effective plan by identifying and prioritizing CY needs, as well as selecting interventions to meet the prioritized needs and problems.
- Evaluation – Collaborates with other CFT members to guide church partners through a learning and reflection process about the success of initiatives in order to improve future planning.
- Coordination of CFT – Oversees the Church Facing Team (CFT) support for each church partner.
- Creates and customizes Facilitation Workplans for each church, ensuring that objectives and activities are tailored to the church’s specific needs.
- Documents, along with all other CFT members, the assistance they provide to church partners and follow-up on issues raised.
- Cluster operations entail overseeing a group of churches while remaining responsive to the local context and the needs of each church within the cluster.
- Encourages and encourages cluster-based activities and resources.
- Proactively strives to build relationships and connections inside the cluster.
- May offer expertise to other professionals and support staff in the partnership discipline.
- Faith involves a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Compassion’s basic “Cultural Behaviours” must be supported and upheld in all communication and relationships, whether internal and external.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience: Three years of relevant experience in this or a similar subject.
- Fluent in the local language: Gonja.
- Being able to relocate to the Central Gonja District and having prior job experience in Ghana’s northern region would be advantageous.
- Have a motorcycle and a valid driving licence.
