As evidence, the university provides about a thousand courses connected to sustainability and boasts more than 80 clubs that are exclusively focused on sustainability. National Taiwan University provides cost-effective tuition costs. Compendium of Scholarships Offered by National Taiwan University

1. The Sinotech Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: NTD20,000 monthly for one year
  • Available Degree: Doctorate in Civil Engineering

The Sinotech Scholarship is available to exceptional overseas candidates who aspire to pursue a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the National Taiwan University. The department’s primary objective is to actively recruit international students, with a particular focus on attracting students from Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The sponsorship for this scholarship is provided by Sinotech Engineering Consultants, Ltd.

2. Grant for Financial Assistance for International Students

  • Scholarship Amount: The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and also provides a monthly allowance of NTD6,000.
  • Available Degrees: Bachelor’s

This scholarship is available to all potential international undergraduate students at the National Taiwan University and is valid for four years. Academic researchers have the opportunity to obtain a tuition exemption valued at NTD130,000 annually.

Individuals who meet the requirements for a Taiwan government scholarship are not eligible to receive this prize.

3. Scholarship for Exceptional International Graduate Students

  • Scholarship Amount: Full tuition coverage plus a monthly stipend
  • Available Degrees: Master’s; Doctorate (Ph.D.)

The scholarship offered by National Taiwan University is open to all international students. The tuition waiver provides coverage for NTD130,000 of the annual tuition cost during the whole program. Master’s degree students are eligible for the scholarship for two years, whereas Ph.D. students can avail it for three years.

Master’s degree students receive a monthly allowance of NTD6,000, while Ph.D. students receive NTD8,000.

4. Latin America and Caribbean Project Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: The scholarship covers the whole tuition cost, which is NTD130,000 per year, and also provides a monthly stipend of NTD6,000.
  • Available Degrees: Master’s; Doctorate (Ph.D.)

This scholarship at National Taiwan University is exclusively available to applicants from Belize, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Saint Christopher and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Annually, a total of thirty scholars have the opportunity to avail themselves of this scholarship, which can be utilized for either a two-year master’s degree or a three-year Ph.D.

5. The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship is a scholarship program.

  • Scholarship Amount: NTD30,000 per month including roundtrip airline tickets
  • Available Degrees: Bachelor’s; Master’s; Doctorate

The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship is available to international students from countries that have established diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

Undergraduate students are eligible to earn the monthly stipend for a maximum duration of four years. Master’s degree students are eligible to get the degree for two years, while Doctoral degree students can receive it for a maximum of four years.

6. The MOE Taiwan Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: The scholarship covers the whole cost of tuition, which is NTD40,000 per year, and also provides a monthly stipend.
  • Academic Programs Available: Bachelor’s; Master’s; Doctorate

Applicants from ineligible countries for the MOFA scholarship can apply for the MOE Taiwan scholarship. The duration of the scholarship remains unchanged. Nevertheless, this scholarship provides an extra NTD40,000 per year in tuition waiver.

Undergraduate scholars at National Taiwan University are eligible for a monthly allowance of NTD15,000, while Master’s and Doctoral degree students may receive NTD20,000.
