The application process for the Brock University Scholarships has already begun for the 2024 academic year, and students from other countries who are interested in enrolling are strongly encouraged to submit their applications. International tuition rates apply, and incentives are available to international students attending Brock for undergraduate study.

The Brock Scholars honors represent our biggest prize. All new students from all over the world are eligible for these automatic rewards. You must not have any prior post-secondary experience and be starting your first undergraduate program to be eligible.

A group at Brock is committed to the success of international students. To make the most of your education, engage in academic, language, and social programming that is both transitional and continuous.

Brock University Scholarship Requirement

Variable in value. Only financial need will be taken into consideration when awarding emergency bursaries to students. What you must do is:

  • Utilize OneApp to fill out a scholarship application;
  • Have an active Brock University course enrollment;
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative average of 60% and be in satisfactory academic standing, meaning you should not be on probation.

On August 1st of every year, applications for fall and winter are welcomed.

Applications for Brock Emergency Bursary Assistance must be completed in full. Rather than being about budgeting or lifestyle decisions, these requests are meant to help with unexpected and sudden financial crises. A meeting to discuss the budget may be necessary, as may the need for more thorough financial documentation. As long as funds are available, this application will be accepted throughout the year.

Programs Available

A comprehensive institution that offers advanced research, postgraduate, doctorate, and extensive undergraduate programs. At Brock, students select their classes from a demanding and experiential academic portfolio that is divided into seven faculties. Additionally, Brock offers an increasing variety of international programs in addition to the fifth-largest university co-op program in Canada.

Entrance Scholarships for New and Entering Students

All applicants who apply for full-time study at the university based on an OSSD and who have never attended a post-secondary institution before (i.e., have no prior post-secondary experience) are automatically eligible for the Brock Entrance Scholars Award. Subject to financial availability, entrance grants are given out based on the six grade 12 U or M courses that determine the student’s final admission GPA.

The Senate Committee on Undergraduate Student Affairs sets the minimum average needed to award scholarships each year. The reward notification that comes with the admission offer is subject to change depending on the final admission average.

Brock Entrance Scholars Award

Given to new students who have never attended a post-secondary institution. Based on secondary school grades available at the time of acceptance, initial offers are given. When final grades are turned in, the offers are examined, and if the final average moves into a different category, they will be changed. For entrance in 2023, the scholarship values are:

  • $7,600 (renewable $1,900 per year**) for averages 90.0 percent – 94.9 percent and
  • $13,600 (renewable $3,400 per year**) for an average of 95.0 percent+
  • $3,600 (renewable $190 annually**) for 85.0 percent to 89.9 percent averages
  • $1,600 (extendable by $400 annually) for averages between 80.0 and 84.9 percent

Renewals are contingent on reaching every milestone for 5.0 credits. To renew, an 80.0% average is needed. Whether the scholarship was renewed or not the year before is irrelevant; eligibility for renewal is evaluated after every 5.0 credit milestone.
