ROLE: Access to Healthcare Manager
Sustainable Development “SD” Developing sustainably “SD” for Generations aims to incorporate SD into our culture and DNA and improve (BI) Boehringer Ingelheim’s long-term economic and social worth. SD’s More Health Pillar’s Access to Healthcare (“ATH”) has a big influence. ATH Initiatives will help identify non-communicable disease healthcare requirements. Ghana’s ATH Manager oversees the listed operations.
The ATH Manager must meet the initiatives’ KPIs and report monthly progress and deviations to management. The person in charge of project implementation in Ghana will manage and allocate funding to implementation channels nationwide. He or she manages vendor, private, and public healthcare industry contacts nationwide.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Collaborate with the vendor to undertake ongoing assessments of the patient’s ability to pay for anti-hypertensive and anti-diabetic medications.
- Implementation of a conceptual and strategic partnership model relating to the ATH Initiatives, as well as strict adherence to internal and external rules.
- Development, development, and implementation of a Kenya partnership and collaborative engagement model for ATH, including value propositioning and partnership model considerations, as well as an examination of synergies between ATH and the
- Making More Health “MMH” Initiative.
- Engage with the vendor on a regular basis to follow up on the implementation of the defined tasks, and validate and recommend adjustments to improve the overall initiative outcomes.
- More Health Team and SD Leads deliver Activation of IMETA ATH Initiatives and SD programs, support community engagements, and training activities in accordance with
- ROPU IMETA (Regional Operating Unit, India-Middle East-Africa) and global More Health Team.
Requirements
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry’s Market Access in Ghana
- Experience managing external collaborations, partnerships, agile methods, and intrapreneurial initiatives is required.
- Excellent grasp of the many pharma business areas.
- System thinking that includes a thorough grasp of the interconnection of economic/social/environmental ramifications and interests within the BI company, human/animal health players, and many stakeholders, countries, cultures, and ecosystems.
- Proven expertise in building strategies, understanding the big picture, and coming up with creative ideas to make strategies work.
- A genuine interest and strong convictions for community engagement and sustainability issues.
- A minimum of one advanced degree is required; a combination of two advanced degrees in (1) business and (2) a related scientific/technical subject is preferred
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific/medical subject. Alternatively, a
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Sustainable Development/CSR is required.
