POSITION: Assistant Security Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the establishment and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards to reduce the risk associated with crime to enhance the safety of the Bank’s workers and customers.
Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of the bank’s electronic security installations, such as access control systems, alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and CCTV systems. - Identify, evaluate, and report security risks to the Security Coordinator.
- Assist the Security Coordinator in implementing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Recommend security policy revisions as needed.
- Manage security personnel on bank premises.
- Develop and implement security training and awareness programs.
- Track movement in and out of the bank premises.
Responsibilities include investigating issues and recommending solutions to the security coordinator, deploying private security guards and armed police escorts for species movement, and implementing workplace health and safety procedures. Maintain professional networks with law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and peer banks. Coordinate fire prevention and control actions, including system audits and remedial measures.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of first degree in a security-related field with at least 5 years of post-qualification work experience in a bank or corporate institution, state intelligence organization, law enforcement agency, or military-related field.
Location: Accra.
