The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is pleased to introduce the CMPA Equity Scholarship 2024, designed to provide support to Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis), and other racialized medical professionals. This scholarship project is a manifestation of CMPA’s continuous dedication to fostering equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) among the medical community.

The CMPA Equity Scholarship aims to tackle systemic obstacles and socioeconomic difficulties encountered by marginalized communities in the healthcare sector. This award offers a distinct chance for doctors and medical trainees from underrepresented groups to progress in their professions and make a valuable contribution to a healthcare system that is more inclusive and varied.

The University of Toronto CMPA Equity Scholarship 2024 in Canada is open to anyone who wish to participate in Summit-level programs at the University of Toronto.

  • CMPA is delighted to provide three Equity Scholarships to assist individuals in attending the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF) in Vancouver, BC, from November 6th to 9th.
  • Recipients will be granted free registration for the forum.
  • Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge that the scholarship does not encompass expenses related to travel, accommodation, or any other linked charges.

The CMPA Equity Scholarship at the University of Toronto is available to individuals of any nationality.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION

To be eligible for the CMPA Equity Scholarship, you must complete the following steps:

  • Please include your most up-to-date curriculum vitae.
  • Please send your application in either English or French to advocacy@cmpa.org by August 16, 2024. Applicants who are chosen will get notification no later than August 30, 2024.
