Process of selecting
The Victoria Research Scholarships Committee makes the final decision among the candidates who have received nominations from the relevant school and faculty.
Wellington Doctoral Scholarships will be awarded roughly six weeks following the application deadlines in March, July, and November of each year. Due to the possibility of applicants rejecting an offer, it is likely that some applicants will not get a final notification on the success or failure of their applications until three months after submitting their application.
Rules and requirements
The submission deadline for the online application is 4.30 pm on the closing date. Applications that are submitted after the deadline or are missing required information will be rejected. In order for the application to be considered, it is necessary to receive any required supporting material, including references, by 4:30 on the closing date.
The scholarship will only be granted if the beneficiary is enrolled in a full-year program that meets the qualifications and duration of the scholarship. The program must be considered full-time according to Studylink’s point system. The scholarship payment will not be granted unless this criterion is fulfilled.
