Requirements for SIIT ADB-JSP Scholarship:

The candidate is expected to:

• Must hold citizenship of a country that is a member of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and also be eligible for the Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) scholarship.
• Must not possess dual citizenship of any developed nation;
• You have been accepted into an accredited master’s program at a recognized institution.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification with an exceptional academic performance;
• Applicants must possess a minimum of two (2) years of full-time professional job experience, obtained after completing a university degree, at the time of submitting their application.
• Proficiency in both oral and written English communication abilities is a must for candidates who wish to pursue studies.
• The applicant must be under 35 years old at the time of application unless there are extraordinary circumstances and the Government of Japan has given explicit approval for an age waiver.
• Enjoy good physical well-being;
• Consent to repatriate and serve in their country of origin for a minimum of two (2) years following the conclusion of their studies under the Program, to make a positive impact on its progress.

The following individuals are excluded from being Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management, staff, and consultants of ADB, as well as their close relatives by blood or adoption. The term “close relative” includes the following: spouse, mother, stepmother, father, stepfather, sister, stepsister, brother, stepbrother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.

Must not be employed by ADB-JSP Designated Institutions;

• One must not reside or work in a foreign country other than their native country, and they must not already be enrolled in graduate degree programs.
