2023 Dalhousie University Killam Predoctoral Scholarships
The Killam Predoctoral Scholarship Awards at Dalhousie University are now accepting applications from international students. The grant is available for Master’s and Post Doctorate level programs in any of the subjects Dalhousie University offers. The scholarship has an open deadline.

Qualification Standards:
- Killam Awards are open to both Canadian and foreign applicants. We expect applicants to actively apply for funding from the appropriate local, state, federal, or international organizations. Canadians should consider applying to NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, NSHRF, NSGS, etc., depending on their field of study. Non-Canadian applicants must submit applications for any eligible national and international scholarships, as well as qualified provincial scholarships (NSGS, etc.).
- Recipients of the Killam Predoctoral program must be qualified for at least two years of assistance from the program. The only students who will be considered at the Master’s level are those who are just beginning their studies. At the doctoral level, only candidates who have completed their programs in less than 24 months by May 1 of the award year will be taken into consideration.
- In-program grantees at the Ph.D. level are expected to begin receiving their prizes on May 1st because awardees must accept their honors in the earliest term available.
Scholarship advantages:
The scholarship will be given to eligible students in the manner described below:
- 1Master’s (Level 1): $6666.66 per term plus ITF (students from abroad) and, if required, a relocation allowance
- Doctoral (Level 2): $10000 each term + (if available) relocation assistance + President’s Award for two years.

Students need to possess the following:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree with four years of study.
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B average) for the previous 60 credits
