• Candidates for the Master Scholarship must have, by the application deadline, earned a first-class degree in the pertinent field of study, completed in its whole. A graduate-level degree (16 years or more, such as an MSC, MA, MBA, BS, or BBA) is required for this one.
• Ph.D. Scholarship: Applicants must have, by the application deadline, completed all requirements for a first-class degree in the relevant field of study. The completion of this degree, which must take the form of an MS or MPhil, must occur within the previous 17 or 18 years.
• Neither the candidate’s prior study at the same level in the UK nor their completion of a Ph.D., MPhil, or Masters program at a UK university before September/October 2019 are acceptable.
• They are restricted by finances to the point where they cannot afford to attend college in the United Kingdom.

Minimum CGPA for a Commonwealth Scholarship?

Achieved a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a 3.5/4.0 CGPA at the bachelor’s degree level; for master’s degree applicants and PhD candidates, a 3.5/4.0 CGPA or an exceptionally strong performance at the master’s degree level in a field related to the desired PhD research.
