About Georgia College and State University Scholarships

The deadline for the GCSU Scholarship Application is February 19; it opens on December 1. Students can apply for scholarships from GCSU using this application for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Concerning Georgia College and State University

Our university has continuously been a choice for students hoping to change the world, from its beginnings as a women’s educational center until its designation as Georgia’s public liberal arts university in 1996. More significantly, we aim to instill a lifetime love of learning in each student, which will benefit them in whichever career path they decide on. We educate every student on how to learn.

Georgia College & State University aims to become the leading public liberal arts university in the country.

VALUES

These shared principles form the basis of the liberal arts-infused Georgia College experience, which lays the groundwork for a lifetime of learning, development, and academic excellence.

  • Seeking the truth and information for the benefit of the general public
  • The impact of service, leadership, and cooperative, engaged learning experiences on students both within and outside of the classroom
  • Moral values such as honesty, compassion, logic, decency, and accountability in speech and deeds
  • Inclusion and diversity in all their forms

We push our pupils by providing them with excellent instruction. The Georgia College student will approach social challenges imaginatively while using clear, critical thinking.

Undergraduate study includes possibilities for academic inquiry, exposure to artistic efforts, intense study in the major, multidisciplinary intellectual interactions with both timeless and contemporary problems, and capstone experiences that integrate and apply learning.

With an emphasis on local needs, post-baccalaureate programs close the knowledge gap between theory and practice and equip graduates for career growth, lifetime intellectual interests, and informed engagement in today’s complex society.

To meet needs that have been mutually acknowledged and to further students’ academic and civic learning, we work with community partners to create well-informed, globally engaged citizens who are prepared to serve the public interest.  Undergraduate research, study abroad programs, internships, volunteer work, and leadership chances both inside and outside of the classroom are examples of engagement options.

Within a campus community that celebrates diversity in intellectual thinking, experiences, and identities, we work to create a sense of belonging. Faculty, staff, and students at Georgia College consciously choose to be inclusive to promote greatness via diversity.
