VisionSpring, a global social business, is looking for a Campaign Implementation Lead to help promote eyeglasses through a community-focused campaign for its Pharmacy Project in Ghana. This job will help more people know about, buy, and access eyeglasses. You will work directly in local neighborhoods, pharmacies, and through media to spread the word. The Campaign Implementation Lead will organize in-store promotions, community events, media appearances (like jingles and interviews), and outdoor ads like billboards. The goal is to connect with the right people and make it easier for low-income individuals to get eyeglasses.

Who We Are

VisionSpring helps people in need improve their income, education, safety, and health by providing them with eyeglasses. We believe that everyone should have the amazing ability to see clearly.

We provide low-cost glasses and eye care services and work to create markets for eyeglasses. This technology has been around for 700 years, but it still hasn’t reached 1 billion people who need help seeing better, especially those who earn less than $4 a day.

We help low-income customers, not just as people in need, but as regular buyers. Our customers want good-quality, affordable products and eye care services. They are willing to spend some of their extra money for the quick and clear benefits of a better vision.

As a social enterprise, we focus on our purpose first. We combine donations and money we earn, use both charity and business methods, and track sales and social results to help more people see better.

What You Will Do

Planning and Carrying Out a Campaign

  • Make Sure People See the Glasses for Sale: Manage and check the placement of signs and materials that show VisionSpring eyeglasses are available in pharmacies in the Ashanti region. Work closely with the Ghana Pharmacy Project Leader to make sure everything is set up according to the plan.
  • Creating a Work Plan: Work with the outside marketing team to make a clear plan for the campaign. This plan will include schedules, how to use resources, and ways to measure success.
  • Mass Media Coordination: Work with the outside marketing team to carry out tasks like local radio ads, interviews, and phone campaigns. Communicate with media partners and agencies to make sure the campaign messages are strong and clear.
  • Getting Involved with the Community and Making Our Brand More Noticeable
  • Planning and Carrying Out Outreach: Organize and run activities in the community with outside groups to let people know that eyeglasses are available at pharmacies. Build good connections with local leaders and important people in the community.
  • Community Approach: Create a plan to connect with communities that need more support and tell them about the benefits of eyeglasses. This will include informative meetings and activities in these areas. We will work with suppliers and organizations to make sure everyone shares the same message.
  • Working with pharmacy owners and staff to build good relationships that help promote eyeglasses and increase their sales.
  • Vendor and Agency Coordination: Work with outside vendors, media partners, and creative agencies to make sure they deliver campaign materials on time and that they are of good quality.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND).
  • 5 to 7 years of work experience in a marketing agency or a similar job, mainly in BTL (below-the-line) or community marketing campaigns.
  • It’s good to know about pharmacies and customer marketing in the Ashanti region.
  • Must live in Kumasi and understand the local market and have experience working with local people.
  • Great ability to speak and write well in English and other local languages such as Twi and any other language from Ghana.
  • Have experience making and giving sales presentations using PowerPoint slides.
  • Skills in computer programs, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary: Pay depends on how much experience and education you have.
