JOB PURPOSE

To do their job well, interaction designers will need to have technical, design, and customer service skills. Their job is to help with the creation of products, paying special attention to how customers use them.

The main goal will be to figure out what our business needs and product requirements are and turn that knowledge into products, interfaces, and platforms for mobile and web that are user-focused and easy to use.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Takes part in making sure the user’s exchanges with the business’s product are fun, easy to use, and helpful.
  • Describe how the product will be navigated or directed at each stage, how the information will be organized, and how the interaction design will be made.
  • Do a consumer and market study to find out how people are reacting to the product and what kind of experience they are having with it.
  • Define the right interaction model and try it to see how well it works. Review the product’s specs, suggest different ways to make it, and make sure that a high quality production standard is kept.
  • Compares the experience of the business’s product with that of rival brands and comes up with suggestions for product features that will give the business’s product an edge on the market.
  • Analyze complex product and consumer needs and come up with, create, and test interactive experiences that make the most of the product’s potential and make sure it can stay on the market for a long time.

WORK SETTING

  • The Interaction Designer’s job is to take the business’s product and turn it into something that is easy for the user to use. The job of the Interaction Designer is to make sure that users have the best experience possible.
  • The Interaction Designer works closely with the product development team and speaks up for all of the product’s users. For this advocacy, the Interaction Designer must be able to show and talk about product ideas that will improve the experience of users.
  • The Interaction Designer is always looking for ways to reduce product designs and add a mix of visual and interactive experiences to the business’s product. As the product, market, and customer needs change, the job of an Interaction Designer needs to change and adapt as well.
  • So, the Interaction Designer is always looking for ways to improve his skills and grow in his career. For him to do his job well, the Interaction Designer also does consumer study, information architecture, and usability testing.

It evaluates wins, losses, and mistakes to improve and learn. Requests performance comments without being defensive after each task. Finds your strengths and shortcomings and areas for improvement. Discusses how well an idea or strategy works and how to improve it.

Uses easy approaches to diagnose and resolve operational and interpersonal issues. Finds the problem and devises means to prove it. Shows empathy and objectivity. Assesses various options’ risks and benefits. Recommends resources and works with affected parties.

Handles areas of the group process that prevent the group from accomplishing its purpose to encourage teamwork and respect. Matches each team member’s skills and abilities to the team’s goals to engage the “right people” regardless of location or occupation. Works with numerous teams and shares knowledge quickly.

Job Skills/Experience

  • At least two years of experience with user experience or interaction design. Experience with responsive Web design and tools that use strong grid principles, like Bootstrap.
  • Grid-based plans that have been tested and are well-designed. Strong work resume that shows you can think about design in a systematic and creative way and that you know UI/UX best practices inside and out.
  • Strong ability to spot and predict use cases and user interactions, such as happy paths and edge and corner cases, and to include them in designs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to sell an idea successfully.
  • Deep knowledge of information design and architecture, gestalt concepts, and user psychology.
  • Ability to make good use of time across projects and competing goals, meet deadlines agreed upon, and take responsibility for work.
  • Graphic design, motion graphics, digital art, an eye for lettering, color, and layout, and a general sense of materials and textures are all important.
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team or a large-scale software development process, including waterfall and agile methods.
