Ghana News Agency (GNA) is looking for professionals who are qualified, goal-oriented, skilled, and energetic to fill an open position. Stores Officer

POSITION: Stores Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Make sure that stores have enough stock for user departments.
• Then, Make sure that stocks and supplies are bought in the right way and on time.
• Make sure that replacements are made in real-time and make it easy to buy.
• Giving stock to different user departments according to policies that have been approved.
• Also, Make sure that all invoices are put together on time and that all the information is entered before sending the documents to Accounts.
• Put all important papers in the main store.
• Check the stock both in person and in the system every day.
• Do an annual inventory count and make a stock sheet.
• Make sure that items in the Stores are set up and labeled correctly.
• Moreover, Write down what was given and what was taken on the Bin Cards and sign them.
• Make different reports and reconciliations and send them to the people who need them.
• Follow the approved procedure for getting rid of stock that has run out.
• Be there when the External Auditors do their check.
• Do any other jobs that your superior officers give you.

Needed Qualifications and Experience

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field, and have worked for at least five years.
• Part of a professional organization (CIPS
• Able to work with all types of employees and keep professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Good planning and organizing skills.
• Able to finish projects on time and meet deadlines.
• Making good decisions based on careful analysis.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Scheduling and putting things in order of importance
• Confidentiality and good judgment
• Vendor relationship skills
• Information management skills
• Problem-analysis and problem-solving skills
• Professional integrity
• Good knowledge of accounting software/tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the internet.
