St. Thomas Eye Hospital urgently requires Accountant at our branch in Tema
Responsibilities
- Account payables and receivables must be processed and kept current.
- Manage tiny cash transactions.
- Assist with the production of quarterly management accounts.
- Review and approve all payments.
- Statutory deductions, such as PAYE and SSNIT, are paid on schedule.
- Ensures that WHT deductions and payments are made at the end of each month, as well as the follow-up on WHT certificates.
- Confirm all cheque payments.
- Conduct monthly financial reconciliation for designated bank accounts.
- Handle account questions from both internal and external sources.
- Follow up with clients about outstanding payments.
- Salary is negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
Qualification:
- HND or Degree
- Experience: at least two years post-qualification.
Location: Tema Community 4
Advantage: Living in the Tema area is beneficial.
About St. Thomas Eye Hospital
St. Thomas Eye Hospital was founded in 2010 as the North Western Eye Centre, and the name was changed to its current one in 2014.
Over the years, we have made significant investments in human resource capacity and technology to establish ourselves as one of Ghana’s leading centres for advanced and complex eye surgical procedures such as pars plana vitrectomy for retina detachments and macular holes, glaucoma drainage device implantations, cosmetic squint surgeries, and various types of laser surgery.
We have four branches in Ghana, with around 12 ophthalmologists, 5 optometrists, and other cadres collaborating to deliver high-quality services to both local and foreign clientele. In fact, we were the first hospital in Ghana to offer phacoemulsification cataract surgery as a normal treatment in 2011 (thanks to Unite for Sight), and micro-incisional vitrectomy surgeries in 2013.
