POSITION: Marketing Specialist
Sojourn Cabins operates a vacation cabin rental business in Ghana. We are located in the historic fishing village of Anomabo, which is the most popular tourist destination in Ghana. We’re seeking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to assist us with our overall marketing initiatives. You will be a vital part of developing and executing marketing campaigns to achieve goals ranging from brand awareness to product promotion.
A marketing specialist should be a knowledgeable individual who can understand consumer behaviour patterns and offer innovative ideas. You should also be knowledgeable with particular marketing concepts, strategies, and tactics.
The goal is to deliver successful marketing initiatives that promote growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to learn more about consumer needs, habits, and trends.
- Brainstorm and develop concepts for innovative marketing efforts, such as package offers, low-peak time occupancy drives, and awareness campaigns.
- Contribute to outbound or inbound marketing initiatives by exhibiting experience in many areas (content production and optimization, advertising, event planning, etc.).
- Collaborate with external partners (such as influencers and tour operators) to organize promotional events and campaigns.
- Plan and carry out initiatives to contact the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, email, etc.).
- Assist in the analysis of marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to inform future marketing initiatives.
- Manage our social media presence on all platforms.
- Perform individual marketing plan duties as specified.
Requirements and Talents
- Proven experience as a marketing specialist or in a similar position
- A thorough understanding of marketing elements (both traditional and digital marketing such as SEO, social media, etc.)
- Proven experience in marketing data analytics and technologies.
- Excellent computer abilities, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM), and applications (Web analytics, Google AdWords, etc.).
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Commercial savvy combined with a creative mind.
- Professional marketing qualifications, such as a B.Sc./BA in marketing, communications, or an equivalent, will be preferred.
