We’re looking for a great person to fill the role of Human Resources Manager in Accra, Ghana. This position works closely with the Head of HR for the Hub and the Managing Director to make sure that HR projects and initiatives are planned and carried out in the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a true business partner to the executive management and their leadership team, giving them expert advice on organizational effectiveness, design, leadership, and employee engagement.
- Gain credibility at the highest levels of the organization and sway all parts of it.
- The business in Nigeria’s HR department is in charge of driving the People Agenda across the region.
- Puts HR strategy, policy, and guidelines into action.
- Implements the people strategy as defined by the HUB, including strategy deployment with the help of HR business partners or consultants.
- Applies global guidelines to local regulations, e.g., labour law
- Responsible for HR issues in the country (things that are specific to the country and how they are handled in the country), as outlined in the HR blueprint, such as salary decisions, separations, and changes to the organization’s structure.

Recruitment
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university that is recognized
- At least 5+ years of experience in HR management or leadership. Ability to align the People Strategy with the Business Strategy
- A track record of doing business well and carrying out plans well
- High level of intercultural sensitivity and the ability to work with top managers in many countries in a professional and confidential way
- “Business-curious” and with an outward-looking mind to see the big picture clearly.
- Strong leadership skills, able to coach, train, and mentor as well as make important decisions about people to make sure the highest standards are met.
- A style that is practical and adaptable, able to influence and build good partnerships
able to see the big picture and make strategic decisions, but also willing to get their hands dirty when they need to.
