POSITION: Claims & Risk Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The role holder will take full responsibility for the provision of an efficient and effective insurance claims and risk management service. This includes ensuring that all claims and claim-related matters are dealt with within the timescales imposed by the organization and by statute and that all monies due to claimants arising from material loss are maximized and recovered without undue delay.
This position will be based in Ghana.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration of all insurance claims and associated queries.
- Providing guidance, training, and professional advice to clients and members of staff on claim processes, vetting of claim documentation, and all relevant activities relating to the claim management
- Negotiating the settlement of all the organization’s client’s claims in a timely manner with a key emphasis on ensuring maximum indemnification for every loss situation.
- Maintaining a computerized claims/loss recording system and developing information with respect to allowing proper risk analysis to be conducted when necessary.
- Provision of professional advice on claims and risk management to team members, senior management, and departments of the organization on all aspects of insurance practice and law.
- Must be adept at undertaking pre and post-loss surveys when required and must be able to provide relevant reporting on all surveys undertaken.
- Must be adept at a basic standard of file management and filing to ensure efficient record keeping.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or other relevant tertiary degree/diploma
- Minimum 5 years of relevant claims experience
- ACII or its equivalent
