Job Title: Finance and Admin. Director
We want a Finance and Administration Director to join our team at our office in Accra, Ghana. Finance and administrative services for the company, as well as strategic business advice to help the company become a more financially stable organization, will be taken care of by the company.
Key Responsibilities
General duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Money Management and Budgeting
- Give the business direction and leadership in terms of money. Serve as the link between the finance team and the CEO, using their financial knowledge to help drive strategy and meet goals while also overseeing the finance team as a whole.
- Make and control the company’s annual operating budget to make sure that all financial goals are met and that all financial and legal rules are followed.
- Make timely monthly, quarterly, yearly, and project-specific financial reports that follow generally accepted accounting principles.
- Help the company reach its goals by giving advice and guidance on financial strategy as a member.
- Create and use forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to give insight into the company’s operations and business plans, including cash needs. • Make sure that the right internal controls, financial systems, and financial procedures are in place.
Administration
- Be in charge of the Human Resources function, working with the CEO.
- Lead facilities, inventory, IT systems, and other administrative tasks with help from the Finance and Admin Manager.
- Oversee the Finance and Admin Manager and other team members.
- Make sure all insurance policies are renewed every year.
- Stay in touch with all members of the management team by using good business sense and being able to persuade others.
- Do any other reasonable tasks that may be asked of you from time to time.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- A formal accounting qualification, such as ICA, ACCA, or the equivalent;
- Strong integrity, collaboration skills, and ethics;
- Experience in industry in a senior role that includes financial control, accounting, forecasting, and commercial/finance business partnering, such as leading month-end close, working with auditors, and preparing P&L and cashflow forecasts.
- Proficient I.T. skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint);
- Strong financial management and commercial experience, as well as a track record of helping businesses grow;
- Ability to make financial plans (both long-term and short-term) and make sure everyone is on board;
- Ability to influence change and build/maintain strong financial management within the business;
- Ability to work in a team and get along with people from different backgrounds;
- Ability to Must be able to keep up a high level of energy and teamwork that helps reach goals.
- In-depth knowledge of budget management
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills
- Enthusiastic leader and strong team player, able to work and do well in a changing and quickly growing environment
- Excellent analytical, oral, and presentation/communication skills
- Able to work under pressure, prioritize work leads, and meet deadlines
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Decision maker with a practical approach to problem solving
