POSITION: Stores and Logistics Officer

Pumptech Limited is a significant Ghanaian corporation specializing in water infrastructure development, water pump sales, and marketing in Ghana. We are the official LORENTZ and GRUNDFOS pump distributor in Ghana, with offices in Accra, Tamale, Wa, and Bolgatanga.

Role Purpose

The stores and logistical officer’s responsibilities include overall management of the company’s retail and logistical operations. This requires managing the whole life cycle of all products purchased and held by the firm. In addition, the incumbent will be in charge of all official vehicles and equipment owned by the company. This is a full-time, permanent role in which you will report to and collaborate closely with the Finance and Administrative Manager.

Responsibilities and Job Description

  • Managing purchase requisitions, quotes, and PO issuance.
  • Order processing and billing.
  • Respond to management’s stock questions, quotations, and orders.
  • Plan, plan, execute, and assess physical stock counts.
  • Maintain stock records in the system and track stocks when inconsistencies are reported.
  • Prepare and present inventory and stock records/reports.
  • Manage inventory/supplies to ensure they remain within the minimum and maximum levels defined.
  • Packing, labeling, and returning supplies is your responsibility.
  • Work with department managers to establish transportation needs and schedule transportation to satisfy them.
  • Coordinate the movement of automobiles and other modes of transportation.
  • Ensure that all light vehicles and trucks (owned or leased), motorbikes, and generators are used, maintained, and repaired properly.
  • Create and/or modify various systems to handle vehicle and human movement.
  • Keep documentation such as registration, insurance, vehicle records, and daily inspection reports up-to-date.
  • Install and maintain the Vehicle Management System (VMS), ensuring that data is entered regularly and that necessary reports are generated.
  • Serve as a connection between local government agencies and the individuals required to keep the vehicle fleet lawful and roadworthy.
  • Other related duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications or Experience

  • HND or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
  • 2+ years of storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping experience is required.
  • To collaborate effectively with people, you must have strong written and vocal communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of standard principles and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse setting.
  • Analytical intellect capable of performing correct mathematical computations.
  • Outstanding writing and verbal communication abilities
  • Data entry, analysis, and management skills
  • Physical capacity to lift and move goods weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
