POSITION: Accounts Supervisor (Financial Reporting)
Job Purpose
To be in charge of the hotel’s financial health by managing all financial procedures, which involve, among other things, planning and producing budgets, participating in audits, monitoring transactions, and preparing financial statements and bank reconciliation exercises.
Important Tasks and Responsibilities

- Create and enforce financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.
- Oversee budget collection, preparation, planning, and evaluation.
- Maintain financial records that are up-to-date with the most recent transactions and adjustments.
- Maintain accuracy in all asset files and balance sheets, and assist with all work papers and bank accounts, all while contributing to financial audits.
- To detect and address problems, monitor all bank deposits and payments and conduct monthly financial analyses.
- Ensure daily bank reconciliations, journal entries, data compilation, and analysis are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare regular financial accounts, special initiatives, and analyses for senior management.
- Keep an eye on inventory levels in all revenue sources throughout the property.
- Create monthly, weekly, and quarterly income and consumption reports, as well as manage general ledger reconciliations.
- Analyze various operational outputs, maintain project status schedules, and assess them regularly.
- Coordination with numerous departments is required to do variation assessments for all technical accounting difficulties, design accounting rules, and develop a yearly capital expenditure budget.
- Manage all filing deadlines and aid in closing all procedures while ensuring compliance with procedural and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the management of all ad hoc projects and in all accounting activities.
- Create and manage action plans, as well as implement all quality standards.
- Troubleshoot all financial records, complete audits, and spot trends to develop improvement strategies.
- Administer and oversee the achievement of all accounting, financial, and operational goals, as well as organizational and accounting goals.
- Investigate cost-cutting measures and give management recommendations.
- Investigate tax breaks and incentives and advise management on the best solutions.
- To guarantee compliance, communicate with banks, external auditors, and other statutory agencies 20. Perform accounting controls by enforcing policies and managing assigned balance sheets, as well as account reconciliations and repairs.
- Carry out any additional tasks that management may assign.
Required Qualifications or Experience
Education and Experience
- A minimum of a BSc. in Finance and Accounting from a reputable college or university, with at least three years of relevant experience.
- Membership in the ACCA/ICA is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent analytical abilities, a strong work commitment, and the ability to multitask are required.
- Understanding of general accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Excellent computer abilities and knowledge of accounting systems/software such as Quickbooks, Sage, Tally, Opera, IDS, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and vocal English communication skills.
