Accounts & Admin Officer at Lima Ghana
JOB OBJECTIVE AND SUMMARY
- Reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts.
- Provide general accounting support and be the touch point with Head
- Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects
- Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team
- Provide support to credit analysts with analysis of financial information and credit reports
Key Responsibilities
- Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, and third-party vendors
- Follow up with Suppliers on order placements, and provide feedback to the supply chain and finance team
- Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
- Identify and address discrepancies
- Prepare, send, and store invoices
- Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
- Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
- Fixed asset verification and tagging
- Participate in periodic stock take and monitor inventory movement
- Monitor and track customer’s payments into bank Accounts and matching of payments to invoices
- Daily sales and payment reconciliation reporting
- Ensure products are captured on the purchase tracker and all associated inbound costs are accurately captured
- Providing information about receivables to Head office
- Resolving all order-related issues
- Escalating complaints to the right channels
- Daily/Weekly Sales/credit/invoice Activity Reporting in a timely manner
- Manage specialized information reports, forms dealing with fees, billing, tracking of projects etc
- Enter information into the financial accounting system of the company
- Support with providing support documents during annual audit exercises
- Maintain minutes of meetings
- Other tasks assigned by General Manager, International Business
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Daily sales report shared before 9 am of the following day
- Daily reconciliation of bank statements.
- Weekly activity reports
- Monthly stock takes report shared by 2nd working day of the subsequent month.
- All lodgments in the bank statement must be recognized on the tracker within 24 hours. Posting of transactions within 24 hours
- Provision of timely, accurate and well-presented information to drive business decisions

REQUIREMENTS
Educational
- First degree or equivalent (2.1) in Finance Accounting or related field of study from a reputable University
Professional
- Relevant certification (e.gACCA, ICAN) is an added advantage
Experience
- 0-2 years experience in analytics, the Finance field, or a similar role
