ROLE: Research Internship

We use powerful encryption known as zero-knowledge proofs to infinitely scale Ethereum while maintaining security and decentralization. With a world-class team, a community of over 1 million fans on Twitter and Discord, and hundreds of millions of dollars in funding, we have enough resources to complete the task.
The Role
PhD interns play an important role in research organizations, and this is especially true in the realm of blockchains, which spans multiple disciplines. Matter Labs’ work covers a wide range of topics, including applied machine learning, applied cryptography, and a variety of systems domains such as consensus, verification, compilers, and networking, among others. We are currently seeking PhD candidates with expertise in these subjects who are excited about the prospect of their ideas finding a home inside a fast-expanding layer-2 blockchain ecosystem.
What You Will Be Doing
As part of your responsibilities, you will perform experiments, collaborate with academics and engineers, generate novel ideas, and determine how to improve the existing state of the area. This entails keeping up with the most recent research published in papers and remaining informed about the advances achieved by active entrepreneurs operating in our field. We often enjoy the publication of research publications coming from PhD internships.
What We Are Looking For In You
We are looking for people who have relevant experience, as evidenced by recent research results such as articles, and who are enthusiastic about confronting difficulties head-on until a solution is discovered. We are looking for someone who can mix academic achievement with a practical attitude.
