Voltic (GH) Limited has a great job offer for a Fleet Safety Specialist. Voltic (GH) Limited is known for making the best-selling expensive water brand in Ghana. This has been the case for over 20 years. Voltic (GH) Limited has now added Value-Added Dairies to its list of products. The Fleet Manager is directly in charge of this job.
The job holder is in charge of making sure that the Company has a safe and trusted group of drivers. This job is in charge of making sure that all Company drivers are trained and tested regularly so that they can drive Company vehicles in a safe and responsible way. The main goal of this job will be to teach drivers about safety and measure their abilities against a set of standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Make sure that the driver’s licenses are current and that copies are kept in the driver’s personal files.
- Resource planning: Make sure there are enough drivers for the daily Distribution Function by coordinating the weekly driver training plan with Distribution.
- Pre- and post-trip checks: Teach drivers the right way to do inspections before and after a trip.Using technology and tools to track and set off events.
- Driver Debrief: Have driver debriefs after each route to find drivers who didn’t follow the rules, had bad driving performances, or acted unsafely.
- Compliance Tracking: Check to see what Team Leaders and Managers did when they were told that a driver was acting in a bad way. Tell the Logistics Manager what went wrong.
- Training: There are both theoretical and hands-on training with the right tests.
Education, Skills, and Experience
Credentials and Work History
- A Higher National Diploma in a related area and 10 years of driving experience are the minimum requirements.
- Experience with logistics and tools for tracking
- Authorized to drive all types of cars, such as motorcycles, cranes, buses, rigid trucks, and trucks with tractors and trailers.
- No accidents have been reported in the last three years.
- Learn how to use a computer.
- Must be healthy and have good habits.
Knowledge:
- Operations and methods for distribution
- How well distribution works is measured
- How a fleet works and what it does
- How well does the fleet does
- Planning and organising
- Good reporting and management skills
Skills:
- Use of information areas in local road laws, managing a fleet, and managing people.
- Ability to keep learning and getting more training in order to keep driving standards high.
- Must be able to drive to standards that are much better than those being tested.
