POSITION: Human Resource Officer

The Human Resource Officer is in charge of providing support for the organization’s HR functions. This encompasses recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and other human resources-related activities.

Key responsibilities:

Recruitment and staffing:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, which includes posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct interviews and take part in the selection process.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new employee onboarding programs.

Employee Relations:

  • Manage employee interactions, including conflict resolution and disciplinary measures.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive workplace atmosphere.
  • Address employee grievances and offer counselling as necessary.

Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance appraisal processes.
  • Work with managers to establish performance goals and objectives.
  • Provide assistance on performance improvement plans.

HR Policy and Compliance:

  • Maintain compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Create, revise, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct frequent audits to ensure compliance with HR policies.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training requirements and organize professional development initiatives.
  • Encourage staff development and professional advancement.
  • Facilitate training courses on HR-related issues.

Benefit Administration:

  • Manage employee benefits programs, which include health insurance, retirement plans, and other bonuses.
  • Assist employees with their benefit-related inquiries.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and current employee records.
  • Handle HR documentation, such as contracts and correspondence.
  • Create reports on HR data and analytics.

Communication:

  • Effectively communicate HR policies and processes to employees.
  • Improve communication between management and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a similar discipline.
  • Proven experience as a human resources officer or in a related function.
  • Understanding of labour laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle secret material discreetly.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills.
