POSITION: Human Resource Officer
The Human Resource Officer is in charge of providing support for the organization’s HR functions. This encompasses recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and other human resources-related activities.
Key responsibilities:
Recruitment and staffing:
- Coordinate the recruitment process, which includes posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct interviews and take part in the selection process.
- Assist in developing and implementing new employee onboarding programs.
Employee Relations:
- Manage employee interactions, including conflict resolution and disciplinary measures.
- Encourage a positive, inclusive workplace atmosphere.
- Address employee grievances and offer counselling as necessary.
Performance Management:
- Implement and manage performance appraisal processes.
- Work with managers to establish performance goals and objectives.
- Provide assistance on performance improvement plans.
HR Policy and Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Create, revise, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct frequent audits to ensure compliance with HR policies.
Training and Development:
- Identify training requirements and organize professional development initiatives.
- Encourage staff development and professional advancement.
- Facilitate training courses on HR-related issues.
Benefit Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, which include health insurance, retirement plans, and other bonuses.
- Assist employees with their benefit-related inquiries.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and current employee records.
- Handle HR documentation, such as contracts and correspondence.
- Create reports on HR data and analytics.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate HR policies and processes to employees.
- Improve communication between management and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a similar discipline.
- Proven experience as a human resources officer or in a related function.
- Understanding of labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to handle secret material discreetly.
- Organizational and multitasking skills.
