Job Description.
Old Mutual Ghana is searching for a passionate and technologically aware Robotic Process Automation Analyst to join its IT team. Working in a fast-paced workplace, you will support RPA Engineers in automating manual operations across all Old Mutual business units.
You will use your skills and experience to help guarantee that Old Mutual’s manual procedures are automated in a highly structured and well-documented manner. That all stakeholders are aware of the process and receive the appropriate support throughout the automation journey. The role will serve as a vital link between the RPA team and the business units, as well as providing important support for all robots that have been delivered and are now active.
Key Result Areas
- Collaborate with the Business Process Owner(s) to gain a thorough understanding of the processes that will be automated, as well as the impacted processes and business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create clear business requirements documentation for automated processes, which can be shared with RPA solution design and development teams. Coordinate with RPA and technical teams to plan and execute automation projects.
- Collaborate with business units to conduct value analysis (ROI) on the processes.
- Work with the business and the RPA team to identify and support solution designs for production issues and enhancements.
- Identify the scope, benefits, restrictions, and dangers of RPA automation initiatives, and capture and document the present state of manual processes.
- Identify and document the best practices for continuous RPA adoption.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to drive requirements.
- Consider the change management implications for implementing new RPA processes.
- Deliver critical business analytical artefacts, using best practices and technologies, for the design, solution, and execution of medium to large projects.
- Document and diagram the current environment and data flows.
- Collect non-functional needs, including security, capacity performance, and availability.
- Serve as a connector between business and technical resources.
- Create ‘to-be’ process map designs with cross-functional flowcharts.
- Define the configuration specs and business analysis needs.
- Conduct process diagnostics and opportunity identification.
- Define requirements by writing user stories (if Agile), BRDs, or disaggregation sheets (for RPA).
- Contribute to the design, documentation, and maintenance of system processes.
- Creating business cases and ROI that can be presented for assessment and approval.
Requirements: Skills, qualifications, and experience are required.
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, or a comparable field will be required.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an RPA Analyst, Software Engineer, Financial Analyst, or in a similar sector.
- Proven experience with either Blue Prism or UiPath.
- Proven experience in Python and advanced VBA.
- Ability to operate independently with minimum supervision, while fully participating as a member of the RPA team.
- Effective Persuasive Communication includes the capacity to influence SMEs and business stakeholders towards change, automation, and continual improvement.
- Knowledge of RPA technologies and a range of best practices for process automation and operational excellence
- Capable of translating requirements into procedures and controls
- Strong analytical abilities, along with a rational, disciplined, and structured attitude to documentation and procedures
