ROLE: Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Overview
The Food QA Manager will be in charge of making sure that the goods that are bought meet the quality standards set by clients, companies, and government agencies. They will make and review quality and safety policies, as well as manage audits by inspectors from outside the company. The manager will train other team members and be in charge of all processes, such as Compliance, Document and Records Search Control, and Document and Records Search Control.
Responsibilities
Strategic
- Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management systems and make sure they continue to meet relevant quality standards.
- Create and review safety and quality policies that are already in place
Team Management
- Develop, train, and evaluate the work of the staff in the QA Department; Give suggestions to management about how to make sure QA standards are met.
- Lead and manage a group of people who are in charge of making sure crops meet the required quality standards.
- Implement work plans and procedures to get the most out of employees, improve operational efficiency, and reach company goals.
Operational
- Keep the company’s quality manual and quality records up-to-date.
- Set up quality assessment processes and globally recognized standards, such as the ISO 9000 family, and make sure that all the goods you buy meet these standards.
- Review the main reasons for quality loss and non-conformance and write a report on them.
- Make sure all check sheets are filled out correctly and that the right steps have been taken and signed off for every non-compliance.
- Make sure that all of QA’s tools, equipment, and other logistics, such as vehicles and storage spaces, are calibrated, used, and maintained correctly.
- Processes should be checked for quality control.
- Keep records of your food safety system
- Make sure that all of the data about the crops is complete and meets the requirements for traceability.
- In charge of managing government, regulatory, and customer audits
- Give top management reports and information about how well and how well-suited the crops safety management system is.
- Do risk-based audits of facilities and give advice and coaching about crops.
- Fix problems with food quality and safety and look into them. Talk to all customer-relevant representatives.
- Compliance with food safety practices and in general.
- Check the quality, weight, and look of crop inventories and make sure they are correct.
- Researchers looked into and suggested new technologies and systems to make things better.
- Do any other jobs that are given to you.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a field like microbiology, food science, agricultural business, crop management, etc. is required.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in crop management or a related field, especially with cashew, groundnut, and soybean crops.
- Must know how to handle things during harvest and after harvest.
- Very good at keeping track of things.
- Strong skills as a leader and in managing a group
- Good at talking to people
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Having the ability to talk in both English and French is a plus.
- It is important to pay attention to details, ask questions, and check work for accuracy.
- Must be good at keeping track of time.
- Self-Led/Leading Skills, Be self-motivated, have the patience to wait your turn, take the lead, and solve problems.
- Must be willing to change and take on new tasks and ways of life.
- Open and ready to go if necessary
- Very good knowledge of health and safety rules.
