ROLE TITLE: END USER SUPPORT ANALYST

Purpose
Responsible for providing reliable technical support to users at Newmont’s regional or site operations. This involves providing support for technology applications and infrastructure that are accessible via the desktop, mobile device, or elsewhere on the site, as well as supporting outsourced technology services and vendors.
In this role, you will
Site Technology Support Team Member.
- Participate in the team in charge of the initial physical technology support touchpoint when Newmont employees, visitors, and contractors encounter problems or have minor requests about their technology products and programs on site.
- Manage a work queue using an electronic ticketing system, conducting activities in support of everyday technological operations while adhering to performance metrics for response time, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform technology defect diagnostic on hardware, network, and software systems, whether mobile or fixed, contribute to resolution, and document solutions for future reference.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of on-site technology facilities, such as printers, scanners, audiovisual equipment, video systems, electronic displays, and meeting room equipment.
- Participate as directed in regionally run programs that involve a site technology component.
- Work with other technology teams as instructed, such as regional/global Network / Infrastructure teams, to ensure that the regional voice and data network, server, storage, and end-user environments at the site are successfully maintained and supported (this is especially important for remote mining sites).
- Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and service providers to meet technology requirements.
- Help vendors maintain site stability.
- Provide proper identification, tracking, escalation, and communication for regional or site concerns affecting service delivery.
- After business hours, provide troubleshooting assistance for server, storage, server room/data center support, networking, and telephone.
- Contribute to the record-keeping of site technology assets.
Safety and Compliance
- Comply with Newmont’s security and technology standards when providing service.
- When new initiatives and projects are implemented on site, assist people in documenting and understanding operational procedures.
- Attend safety meetings, staff meetings, and safety inspections.
- Learn about and follow Newmont’s health, safety, security, and environmental policies, standards, and procedures.
- Participate in completing and resolving all technological compliance and general control activities for the team.
- Consistently display safe workplace practices.
- Participate in audit-finding activities for the Support Team on location.
- Meet Newmont’s goals and values.
Training & Experience
Formal qualifications (including professional registrations):
- It is advantageous to have or be working toward technology certification.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of service or technical support experience with a mining industry.
- Capability to successfully communicate orally and in writing with vendors, service providers, colleagues, clients, and customers at all levels.
Technical Skills
- Exhibited excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
- Broad knowledge of various technology tools and the utilization of problem-solving forums.
- A strong combination of business, functional, and technological skills.

Working Conditions
- The position is located in the Accra regional office.
- Office and field/mine site work as needed, including work in open pits and/or subterranean operations.
- The position may require travel to other domestic and international locations.

- Flexible hours as needed to accommodate site technology or project requirements.
