Mensin Gold Bibiani Ltd. (MGBL), a subsidiary of Asante Gold Corporation, is seeking candidates for the following jobs for its mining project in Bibiani, Western North Region: Mechanical unit manager

Job Purpose

To develop and implement mechanical aspects of Processing Plant maintenance using operational engineering policies, standards, processes, and procedures to maximize plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks to meet the business’s strategic objective.

Key Duties

• Ensure all subordinates are proficient in using the company’s asset maintenance management system.
• Work with planning to establish/review mechanical equipment maintenance strategy.
• Create and manage the Mechanical Engineering Management Plan, an essential Project Execution Plan sub-plan plan accountability.
• Assess and mitigate mechanical work risk.
• Establish processing plant mechanical maintenance inventory and spare parts with the Supply team.
• Design and implement a monitoring and reporting framework to provide primary inputs to the Engineering Manager to report operational readiness for mechanical aspects of the Processing Plant engineering/maintenance during operation.
• Manage the contractor-construction relationship with internal processes and renovations.
• Optimized mine energy use per unit produced to save energy.
• Create a Safety Management strategy in your jurisdiction and comply with SafetyMining and Statutory Regulations.
• Zero environmental incidents, compliance violations, and public disclosures.

Required Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, maintenance engineering, or similar.
• Ghana; Engineering Superintendent/Manager certificate preferred.
• Professional Engineering Certification is desirable.
• A 10-year mechanical maintenance engineer with metallurgical experience
• Knowledge of a standard work management system and experience managing Maintenance and Repair Contracts (MARC).
• ERP System knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
