Job Title: Operator Trainer- Surface Equipment
Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a business area of the Sandvik Group. It is a leading global provider of equipment and tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry, including rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading, hauling, and materials handling.
The Operator Trainer-Surface Equipment will help cut costs and make more money by being a good leader, having good relationships with customers, and using the best practices for Safety, Health, and Environment effectiveness. As a member of the technical team, this person will be in charge of training both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Set up effective management systems to help customers get OEM technical support.
- Manage an effective cost budget by putting in place measures to cut costs while keeping quality and safe and healthy practices.
- Take care of the environment, your health and safety, and your duty of care.
- Manage all the relationships with customers and other people who have a stake in drill and blast hole operations.
- Make sure that Sandvik’s business image and related products and services are promoted through initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Make sure that your subordinates grow as people and as workers.
- Make sure that all Sandvik Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Make sure that the identified business needs are met by creating the right training, learning, and development programs.
- Keep training facilities in good shape and make sure the curriculum is set up according to Sandvik standards.
- Make training plans for each year that fit with the business strategy.
- Develop and give a framework, procedures, support, and direction for figuring out how well training is working.
- Lastly, Find, hire, and manage the right third-party training companies.
Qualification
- They have a degree Engineer or good background in a trade with technical and managerial experience with relevant equipment.
- Trainer-evaluator course job or five years’ experience in a similar job
- Strong sense of business and a focus on EHS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as skills for getting along with others and managing people, are essential.
- Know how to use spreadsheets and other MS office programs well.
- It is important to be willing to travel and work in remote places for long periods of time.
- Ability to work as part of a team with people from different fields and give advice to other team members.
- Experience using and taking care of reverse circulation drills and blast holes.
- Learned about rock tools and how to drill both on the surface and underground.
- Being able to communicate in French will be a plus.
- Have the necessary MINCOM certification
- Have a valid driver’s license from Ghana
