JOB VACANCY FOR PRINCIPAL CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
The Ministry of Health exists to promote and provide integrated, holistic and sustainable preventative, curative, and rehabilitative quality health services to the nation
VACANCY: PRINCIPAL CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the Ministry of Health, Department of Health Service Management, tenable at various facilities
- VACANCY NO: 28 of 2022
- SALARY: DP6,340,00-P295,643.00
BENEFITS:
- Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50s, Employee pays)
- A contract of 34-36 months with gratuity of 30% payable at the end of contract.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of Master of ArtScience in Clinical Psychology
- At least (2) year’s work experience as Clinical Psychologist t or four (4) year’s work experience in a relevant field.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage the provision of clinical psychology services health facilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Firstly, Provides advice to individuals, families and groups with severe psychological and developmental disorders
- Secondly, Manages provision of clinical psychology services in the health facility by monitoring compliance to professional functioning of clinical Psychologists.
- Thirdly, Develops and analyses quality Audit all for health facilities
- Moreover, Conducts needs assessment and coordinates resources for clinical psychological services in the health facility.
- Furthermore, Interprets the broad objectives of clinical psychological services to other management and other departments in the health facilities
- Then, Prepares budget for the section.
- Also, Participate in in peer case revises, journal article reviews, case presentations, seminars and research.
- Finally, Advocate for proactive policies and supportive environment for psychologists
