Job Title: Construction Expeditor
Responsibilities
- Determining material and supply demands through technical specifications and timetables.
- Managing material and equipment orders to fulfill project deadlines.
- Coordination of supply delivery based on priorities and specifications.
- Determine supply requirements using technical facts and timetables.
- Fulfill material and equipment orders to satisfy project requirements.
- Organize supply delivery in accordance with priorities and standards.
- Identify and resolve issues with order delivery.
- Check orders upon delivery to confirm proper quality and quantity.
- Supervise the inventory of materials for various jobs or places.
- Manage orders with the goal of timely delivery and a reasonable price.
- Organize material transport between places.
- Establish positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of your activity.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Construction Expeditor or other comparable role
- Significant project management experience
- Significant experience analyzing and adhering to material and equipment technical specifications
- Excellent practical familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and file systems
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to multitask
- A high school diploma is required; extra qualification is preferred.
