Job Vacancy at Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF)

POSITION: Advocacy Manager

About the company

The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), based in the UK, is a non-governmental organization that works to make sure that natural habitats and environments can support and be supported by the communities that depend on them for their basic needs and livelihoods. The EJF team works in 13 countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe. They are fast, flexible, and effective.

EJF is working to end illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing (IUU) and problems related to it, like human rights abuses. To do this, we work with governments and businesses to make seafood supply chains and markets more open and easy to track. We look into illegal, unsustainable, and unethical practices in great detail. We also work to improve policy-making, corporate governance, and the way fisheries are managed, and we raise consumer awareness to encourage market-driven solutions.

The global team of EJF also works on many other campaigns where environmental insecurity affects people’s rights. Some of these are the climate, forests, cotton, and training for activists. At https://ejfoundation.org, you can find out more. EJF works in Ghana, Liberia, Cameroon, and Senegal in Africa.
