POSITION: Head Of Finance

Job Description.

Impact Life Insurance is looking for an eager and passionate Head of Finance to join our dynamic, growing team. This is a permanent position, perfect for someone with past expertise in the life insurance market.

JOB PURPOSE

  • Oversee all financial tasks for the organization and ensure the efficient and effective utilization of capital and resources.
  • The Head of Finance is responsible for developing forecasting models and ensuring that all accounting activities are compliant with legislation. To be successful in this position, the jobholder should have prior expertise in developing financial plans and managing accounting teams.
  • The jobholder is accountable for the organization’s financial health and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide solid management for the Finance Department.
  • Manage and maintain an effective internal control system.
  • Manage the year-end statutory responsibilities.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the development and implementation of business strategies.

Required Skill or Experience

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Must have a thorough understanding of financial accounts and processes.
  • Capability to provide reliable results that fulfill internal reporting and analytical requirements.
  • Capability to accept many data sets and factors and provide useful reports for a wide range of audiences.
  • Demonstrate proven project management abilities.
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret complicated numerical data.
  • High level of technical/system acumen, including Excel, Access, and Data Warehousing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
  • Strategic Thinking Capabilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certified accountant with at least ten years of relevant job experience in finance or auditing.
  • Prior process improvement experience is necessary.
  • Managerial experience in a life insurance company will be advantageous.
