POSITION: Human Resources Coordinator
This role is in charge of assisting the Human Resources department in all administrative and other areas as assigned.
Principal Responsibilities:
Handling Applications:
- Requests for employment are acknowledged within 48 hours.
- Every applicant receives a personalized application response.
- Management arranges interviews and handles applicant correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- CVs are delivered to department heads and followed up on.
- Every applicant receives a final response to their job application.
Kempinski’s employment website:
- All available positions are advertised.
- The recruitment website’s hotel page is up-to-date and well-maintained.
On-boarding:
- All new employees are personally welcomed, and all relevant documentation is done in a timely and organized manner.
- Then, Starting dates for new employees are notified and coordinated with the individual HODs and the Training department.
Administration:
- Each employee has a full employee file.
- Also, Employee and payroll information is stored in systems.
- Moreover, Vacation and sick leave are documented.
- TTTTs are being monitored.
- Finally, Employee anniversaries are kept track of, and anniversary presents and cards are personally delivered by the Head of Department, Hotel, and/or General Manager.
Maintenance:
- The employee communication boards are modern and appealing.
- Employee locker rooms and the cafeteria are well-maintained.
- Employees are greeted warmly and kindly at the Human Resources office.
Exit:
- Every departing employee is given an exit interview.
- Every employee who leaves during their notice period receives an employment certificate on their last day of work.
Qualifications and skills desired
- Relevant university degree, preferably in human resource management
- HR professional qualification is advantageous.
- At least two years of experience as a human resources professional
- Working experience in the (luxury) hospitality industry is preferred.
- Local language: Knowledge of the language spoken by the majority of staff and management is required.
- English: Oral and written English proficiency is required.
- Other languages would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge/experience in Human Resource Information Systems (Must have) – from the setup/implementation stage
Functional Competencies: (Must Have for All)
- HR professional has a track record of effectively managing efficient and compliant HR operations such as HR administration and payroll, and, where relevant, staff facilities (such as housing).
- Capability to put in place solid systems for recruiting, identifying and developing people, managing performance, and providing an engaging employee experience.
- Knowledge of local labor and immigration law, as well as local rules, regulations, and market practices
- Computer literacy (Excel/PowerPoint/Word), as well as knowledge of HR information systems

- Excellent writing abilities – strong grasp of the English language (both spoken and written)

- People-oriented, pleasant, and friendly.

- Engaging, people-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills
