POSITION: Quality Specialist

As a Quality Specialist, you will support, drive, and help with effective execution through the use of the Quality Management System to make sure that products and services meet regulatory and contractual requirements. Performs quality inspection tasks related to servicing, repairing, and reconditioning Subsea Equipment to check and make sure it meets Baker Hughes’s requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following as a Quality Specialist:

  • Always following and meeting the Quality management system requirements set by the company and the government. Review the contract to find out all of the quality requirements and technical rules that apply.
  • Helping the site operation team with quality issues so that business priorities can be driven and money can be made. Follow up on Assembly and Refurbishment activities in a planned way by using ITPs and other paperwork to keep things under control.
  • Checking parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and the paperwork that goes with them to make sure they meet Baker Hughes standards and specifications.
  • Using, managing, and taking care of inspection metrology equipment and making sure that it is still calibrated.
  • Checking that the Supplier Document Requirement Lists (SDRL) that are attached to parts before they are released include the minimum contract requirements for Quality documentation deliverables. Review and give permission to ship.
  • Validates the details of the Notice of Inspection (NOI) and tells the customer where the vendor inspection points have been agreed upon.
  • Holds meetings with Baker Hughes and the customer to talk about problems with products when needed.
  • Using internal audits to support the Quality Management System. Prepares and gives the assigned internal audit, which covers the project’s supply scope as needed. Enters findings into Gensuite and moves quickly to close them.
  • Preparing for and taking part in lessons-learned capture at set times between project start and end. Drives the completion of all project quality actions to help the project end, and does any other tasks as needed.

Requirements

To do well in this job, you’ll need to:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from a university or college that is recognized.
  • Have at least three years of experience with Quality Management systems and proven skills in writing policies and procedures
  • Know the technical and regulatory framework of the oil and gas industry.
  • Have experience and know the requirements of formal Quality Management Systems and standards, such as ISO 9001:2015 and API Q2.
  • Know everything there is to know about the requirements for controlling monitoring and measuring devices.
  • Have inspection certification at the NDT level II level
  • Use a method that works for you.
