POSITION: Project Manager
Role Purpose
- The goal of this role is to be in charge of planning, implementing, monitoring, controlling, and finishing projects.
- The ideal candidate should be able to organize people and processes to make sure our projects are done on time and get the results we want.
Main Responsibilities
- Make project plans, goals, scopes, schedules, etc., involving all relevant parties and making sure they can be done.
- Give advice on how to estimate the cost, time, and resources needed to carry out onshore and mining projects and scopes smoothly.
- Arrange for the bid documents and technical proposals to be made.
- Take the lead in making estimates for RFQs/RFPs, sales, and pre-construction scopes.
- Work with internal resources and third parties/vendors to make sure onshore projects run smoothly.
- Make work packs, method statements, and procedures
- Use the right checking methods to keep track of changes to the project’s scope, schedule, and costs.
- Find, create, and implement new ideas and solutions where there may not be any precedents or procedures.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- BSc or the equivalent from a well-known university in engineering or a related field
- Having a professional certification in project management will be a plus.
- It’s best if you know how to use engineering and project software.
Needs Skills and Experience
- Be able to recognize problems or situations that are new or don’t have a clear precedent and use a systematic, multi-step approach to find solutions.
- Be able to show that they have good collaboration skills and techniques that help them come up with good alternatives, solve problems, and make long-lasting, productive partnerships with clients.
- Must have at least 5 to 8 years of work experience in the construction and/or engineering industries.
- Be able to actively involve current and future stakeholders in the design, setting priorities, and putting plans into action
- Must be able to show that they have written technical proposals and reports before.
