Position Title: Record Officer
Job duties will include:
- Legal requirements say that all physical and computer records must be kept secure, confidential, and in good shape.
- Review the status of files on a regular basis so that they can be archived or thrown away in a timely manner. Give regular and ad hoc reports about file storage, disposal, and archiving problems.
- Set up the approval and disposal of records that need to be destroyed based on the functional and general retention and disposal authorities. Help keep the Records Management System, related procedures, and system documentation up-to-date so that files can be tracked and information can be found quickly.
- Coordinate and manage records and databases in accordance with administrative systems, processes, and policies to make sure all information is correct, stored properly, and easy to find, and to help other staff members with their recordkeeping duties.
- Develop, execute, and monitor recordkeeping systems, procedures, and methods, making changes to processes and techniques as needed, to help the team or unit work efficiently and in line with agency standards, policies, and procedures.
- Help with all tasks relating to the Records Management System project.
Skills or Experience Needed
- Diploma/HND/Degree from High School
