POSITION: Production Manager

Position Description

AGROPAL, as a developing company, is looking for new talent to help it achieve its purpose of empowering every actor in the agricultural value chain. As a result, AGROPAL is looking for a qualified applicant to fill the position of Production Manager. Applicants should keep in mind that the opportunity necessitates flexibility based on factory production schedules.

Responsibilities and Duties

The hired candidate will be in charge of the following:

• Production schedules should be planned and organized.
• Monitor production activity and make necessary adjustments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure that the finished product satisfies quality standards and customer requirements.
• Establishing quality control guidelines.
• Make expense estimates and budgets.
• Analyze budgets and continuously monitor manufacturing costs, as well as detect and correct waste measures.
• Determine and order the resources needed, and ensure that stock levels stay appropriate.
• Managing the repair and normal maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Manage and support activities and goals for Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ).
• Evaluate and ensure compliance with the safety procedures and requirements of the manufacturing plant.
• Handle logistics, warehousing, and the storage of raw materials utilized in manufacturing.
• Co-manage all production department teams (contracts, leave, and pay).
• Make suggestions for process enhancements to improve production quality and capacity.
• Evaluate worker performance and identify training needs.
• Investigate production problems and devise remedies.
• Recommend cost-cutting measures while preserving quality standards.
• Any additional relevant duties delegated to you by your superiors.

Required Qualifications or Experience

Academic and professional goals:

• A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Processing, or a related discipline is required.
• At least seven (7) years of experience working in the food processing industry.
• Candidates with less than 5 years of experience in the dried fruits industry will be immediately excluded. *** The candidate must have prior experience in mango, pineapple, bananas, coconut, and papaya. (Candidates who do not have this experience will be automatically disqualified). ***
• Candidates must have verified experience and training in food processing standards such as HACCP, BRCGS, and IFS (candidates without this experience will be disqualified). ***
• The candidate must have technical competence with dryers and boilers.
• The candidate must have an entrepreneurial attitude and expertise developing long-term businesses.

Other essential abilities include:

• Excellent leadership and management abilities.
• Proven experience in food processing and inventory management.
• Capability to handle several projects at once, determine priorities, detect and solve problems, fulfill deadlines, and remain within budget.
• Strategic leader with the capacity to manage and motivate huge groups.
• Strong interpersonal skills; team player and self-starter.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, as well as the ability to effectively offer instruction and incentive at all levels.
• Ability to address problems pragmatically and plan a course of action using analytical, conceptual, strategic, and forward-thinking skills to obtain effective results.
• Ability to identify, react, and adjust to rapidly changing conditions, as well as to lead resources in the right path with cohesion and urgency.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
• Candidate must show ethics and responsibility.
• Strong adaptability and the ability to operate with little or no supervision are essential.
• Microsoft application proficiency.
