Mzbel’s beloved daughter and Ghanaian singer, Iona Reine copies the late Ebony Reigns in her latest music video.
Iona Reine recently released visuals for her Obra song and it is causing a huge stir on social media as she takes inspiration from Ebony’s Maame Hwe video.The video has Iona dressed exactly like Ebony in her Maame Hw3 visuals. The musician rocked the famous and iconic headgear which is popularly known as Maame Hw3 and also put on a pair of glasses that looked the same as Ebony’s.She looked so much like the late singer. The hiplife and afrobeat singer’s Obra song basically talks about life and it’s many struggles. She furthers by encouraging herself that God is alive so she won’t be afraid.
The music video has got mixed reactions from her fans. Some people appreciated her craft and the fact that she is still making Ebony Reign. One of her fans defended her saying many people copy others in different ways.Citing and example, he mentioned that today, many women use Brazilian and Indian hair instead of sticking to their natural hair. However, others were of the view that she can do music without having to copy from anyone, though they liked the content of the song. Charlotte Maabra Effah commented advising the female artist to come up with something of her own instead of trying so hard to be like the late artiste.
