POSITION: Senior Accounts Officer
Key Responsibilities:
QuickBooks Accounting Software Administration:
- All components of the software must be updated and maintained, including a total revenue tracking from Cash Sales and Credit Sales invoices.
- Supervising credit customer and creditor payments.
- Keeping track of petty cash transactions and operating expenses.
- Carrying out bank transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Inventory management (saleable and non-saleable items).
- Recording numerous transactions such as payroll, employee loans and advances, consultancy fees, taxes, and keeping Plant, Property, and Equipment (PPE) registers.
Financial Statements:
- Prepare financial reports on a regular and quarterly basis.
- Provide daily updates to management to aid in decision-making.
Support for Operations:
- Assist with cash counts, banking activities, statutory debt payment, utility management, and bill payment.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Perform any other responsibilities as given by the CEO and Management.
Qualifications and skills required:
- A minimum of three years of recent QuickBooks experience is required.
- Accounting and financial analysis skills that are second to none.
- Self-management, task prioritization, and independence are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A willingness to learn, improve, and adapt to new obstacles.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with excellent learning abilities.
- Attention to detail and correctness in all elements of work are essential.
- Excel is very strong in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Financial regulations and accounting principles must be understood.
