Job Title: TVET Policy and Financing Advisor Job Open

Project Summary:
The goal of the Support to the Transformation of TVET in Ghana project is to help improve Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana by working with the Ministry of Education, the Commission for TVET, the TVET Service, TVET Institutions, and other private and public sector stakeholders. The German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development has asked for it (BMZ).
Scope of Role:
The main job of the TVET Financing and Policy Technical Advisor is to give partner institutions policy advice:
Your Task:
- Helping with and keeping an eye on the development and implementation of Support to the Transformation of TVET in Ghana project activities in close consultation with partners, counterparts, and project managers
- Planning, setting up, and running workshops, seminars, and other events on topics related to the project’s interventions in the policy and funding of TVET.
- Identifying and implementing capacity development measures for CTVET, TVET Service, and MoE, and suggesting any changes, improvements, or new initiatives that are needed (organizational development);
- Giving technical help to further develop TVET policies, including national TVET financing, using a multistakeholder approach.
- Making it easier for national TVET institutions, especially CTVET and TVET Service, to share information and work together based on what people want, in order to improve the harmonization of the TVET system in Ghana.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- A Master’s or Master’s of Science in a field related to vocational training or educational studies.
- Knows a lot about Ghana’s TVET system and CBT.
- Has worked in a similar job for at least 10 years.
- Proven track record of working for or with at least one of the following institutions in the field of TVET: CTVET, MoE, TVET Service
- Experience with TVET policy advice and financing mechanisms, as well as working with international organizations, would be a plus.
- A good understanding of how ICT technologies work.
- Be able to speak and write English fluently.
- Be willing to travel often within and outside of Ghana.
- You should have good people skills and work experience in a multicultural setting.
- Capacity development experience, especially organizational development
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people and help them network.
